Position Overview

Peak Sports Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Youth Basketball Coach who loves teaching kids and creating a fun, positive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young athletes build confidence, learn basketball fundamentals, and develop a lifelong love for the game.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach age-appropriate basketball fundamentals while following Peak’s core curriculum and core values
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of program curriculum
• Collaborate with fellow coaches to create fun, engaging practices that keep kids active, motivated, and learning
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful environment for all players
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, players, and staff
• Model strong sportsmanship and leadership on and off the court
• Follow program curriculum and safety guidelines and provide recommendations for improvement
• Set up and break down courts for programming, including organizing basketballs, adjusting hoop heights, managing curtains, scorekeeping, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Basketball experience required (playing, coaching, or training)
• Experience teaching children and/or relevant certifications in youth coaching, physical education, or skills development preferred
• Strong ability to connect with children of varying ages and skill levels
• High energy, patience, and a consistently positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and professional

Schedule Requirements

• Weekend availability required (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
• Weekday availability after 3:45 PM
